Last weekend we headed to the Viaduct on Auckland`s waterfront for the inaugural Healthy Living Show.  The entry fee was $25 – a bit steep I thought, initially.  However, once inside I was met with more exhibitors that were genuinely interesting than is usually the case at exhibitions.  It was Sunday afternoon and  although it was busy, the space was organized in such a way that you could get a good look at everything and actually have the chance to speak to the exhibitors.

The first exhibit I stopped at was the World Organics skin care company, which is made right here in New Zealand. I discovered they have a wonderful certified organic sunscreen, which protects against UVA and UVB rays.  Titanium dioxide, zinc oxide and lots of lovely natural ingredients make up a fragrant, quickly absorbed lotion.  It`s part of their River Veda line, which also has an anti-aging series. I purchased the sunscreen and am delighted to have found it.

I grazed my way around the venue, sampling yummy juices from Elliotts King of Kiwi, Be Natural nut bars and Hemp Farm hemp oil.  Many of the other exhibitors gave out samples too – Earthwise cleaning products, K9 dog food, Sweete stevia sweeteners and Spa Ayurda products to name a few.

There were also many competitions to enter and luckily we won lunch for two at beautiful Huka Lodge compliments of The Private Travel CompanyHuka Lodge is consistently rated one of the world`s luxury accommodations.  We are really looking forward to planning our getaway!
