Mr. Boomerlifetoday and I have had the good fortune to eat some wonderful food in establishments around the world.  Surprisingly, when I think back to my most memorable food, the simplest dishes come back to me – some from restaurants, some prepared at home.  My mother’s and sister’s cooking aside, here are my faves:

Oysters with vinaigrette at Manoir de la Roche Torin, Courtils, France

Salad w/signature vinaigrette at Hotel Angleterre, Vittel, France

Organic steak purchased from Hagen’s Organic Meat at Melbourne’s Victoria Market prepared by Mr. Boomerlifetoday in the kitchenette of our serviced apartment, the Tyrian .

Fish of the day in the Atlas Restaurant of the Hannibal Palace hotel in Sousse, Tunisia

Suckling pig at El Duque, Segovia, Spain

Greek shrimps at the Athens Hilton, Athens, Greece

Dessert

Creme brulee at the Fifth Floor restaurant in Harvey Nichols, London, England

Dessert of grilled pineapple, panna cotta and more at Via Allegro, Toronto

Raspberry tart at Jacques Bistro du Parc, Toronto
